Friday, February 5, 2010, is National Wear Red Day®—a day when Americans nationwide will take women’s health to heart by wearing red to show their support for women’s heart disease awareness. The Red Dress®, the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness, was created by The Heart Truth® in 2002 to deliver an urgent wakeup call to American women.
National Wear Red Day is a day when Americans nationwide will wear red to show their support for women's heart disease awareness. This observance promotes the Red Dress symbol and provides an opportunity for everyone to unite in this life-saving awareness movement by showing off a favorite red dress, shirt, tie or by wearing the Red Dress pin.
Every woman needs to know about heart disease. It is the number one killer of women. In fact, one in four women dies of heart disease.
