Twenty-two St. Bernards Medical Center nurses and one St. Bernards patient care technician were recognized recently for their outstanding service. Twenty were named Living the Mission Nurses for 2011. Others were recognized as Nurse Manager of the Year, Nurse Preceptor of the Year and Patient Care Tech Preceptor of the Year, respectively.
The Living the Mission Award is given annually to nurses nominated by their peers as being healthcare providers who demonstrate exceptional commitment to nursing and outstanding patient care and who truly live the mission of St. Bernards – providing Christ-like healing to the community through education, treatment and health services.
Nurses recognized receive plaques and lab jackets personalized with the award designation and their names. They were honored at a recent reception at St. Bernards Auditorium.
Honorees for 2011 include 14 from Jonesboro, two from Paragould and one each from Bono, Brookland, Lake City, Monette, Leachville, Osceola and Trumann.

II, 2 East; Judy Knight, R.N., Gastroenterology Lab; Melanie Park, R.N., 5 East; Pat Woodall, R.N., Home Health; and Omega Woods, R.N., 1 Main. Others are Sue McFadden, R.N., Home Hospice, and Jessica Camp, R.N., Education, both of Paragould; Rhonda Hill, R.N., St. Bernards Behavioral Health, of Bono; Laura Wood, R.N., Dialysis, of Brookland; Angie McCall, R.N., Preadmission Testing, of Lake City; Ricky Peridore, R.N., 3 East, of Monette; Amy Clark, L.P.N. II, 3 North, of Leachville; Shelley Fountain, R.N., 1 East, of Osceola; and Lindsey Campbell, R.N., 2 North, of Trumann.
Erica Hughes, R.N., of Jonesboro was named Nurse Manager of the year for 2011. She oversees the Transitional Care Facility at St. Bernards. Melissa Dust, R.N., of Jonesboro was named 2011 Nurse Preceptor of the Year. She works in the Intensive Care Unit.
Tameka Dollison of Jonesboro was named Patient Care Tech Preceptor of the year.
