Sixty employees – including four with more than 30 years of service – were honored at a recent quarterly employee recognition dinner at St. Bernards Medical Center. Honorees included those whose employment anniversary dates came in the second quarter of 2011 and whose length of service fell into five-year increments.
The honorees accounted for more than 800 years of service to St. Bernards, with two having been on staff for 35 years, two for 30 years, eight for 25 years, 10 for 20 years, seven for 15 years, five for 10 years and 26 for five years.
Employees represent 13 towns and communities in eight different Arkansas counties. In Craighead County, 37 are from Jonesboro; two are from Bay; two are from Bono; one is from Caraway; and one is from Egypt. Eight employees are from Paragould. Other towns are represented by one employee each – Glencoe, Hardy, Harrisburg, Hickory Ridge, Maynard, Swifton and Wynne.
Those who have been on staff for 35 years are Gary McCracken who works in the emergency department and Helen Oden who works in surgery. Thirty-year employees are Marsha Tate who works in home health and Thomas Ducker who works in the laboratory. All are Jonesboro residents.
Twenty-five year employees include six from Jonesboro – Robert Blevins who works in information systems management; Sheila Morgan, nursing administration; Joe Cashion, post anesthesia care; Tracy Ashburn, home health; Clara Fortenberry, sterile processing; and Norma Tidwell, laundry. Others are Lila Simmons of Egypt, receiving, and Pamela Jeter of Paragould, Weight Loss Surgery Clinic.
Twenty-year employees include seven from Jonesboro – Janet Chappell who works in the electrophysiology laboratory; Kobie Hill, respiratory care; Joseph Mobley, surgery; Beverly Parker, senior health services; Stacy Seel, 5 East; Pamela Tedder, employee wellness center; and Robert Vance, respiratory care. Others are Laura Hampton of Bay, respiratory care; Tammy Mullins of Hickory Ridge, surgical intensive care; and Connie Tripod of Paragould, nursing administration.
Fifteen-year employees include three from Jonesboro – Genna Cochran who works at Doctors Health Group; Cynthia Garris, clinical pharmacy; and Kathy Prine, home health. Others are Shirley Rorex of Bay, medical records; Jimmy Wilson of Bono, respiratory care; Angela Risenhoover of Maynard, 1 East; Tina Hays of Paragould, Total Life Care administration.
Ten-year employees include three from Jonesboro – Pacelia Aboagye who works on 1 East; Danny Doyle, laboratory; and Donna McCuiston, 2 North. Others are Joanna Whitlatch of Harrisburg who works in radiation oncology and Linda Poindexter of Wynne who works in the Wynne dialysis center.
Five-year employees include 15 from Jonesboro – Michael Anderson who works in the emergency department; Christy Becker, hospital administration; Evelyn Brown, sterile processing; Joshua Caldwell, laundry; Dana Corbett, education; Janice Davis, nursing administration; Ronetta Davis, hospice house; Deborah Hall, cardiovascular surgery; Marilyn Hummelstein, St. Bernards Development Foundation; Donald Johnson, radiology; Samantha Jones, pharmacy administration; Leala Mooneyham, pharmacy; Laura Mumphrey, behavioral health; Leah Robertson, surgical intensive care; Jimmy Robinson Jr., environmental services; Joey Sloan, Doctors Health Group; and Judith Tomkins, Transitional Care Facility.
