St. Bernards Will Host Wynne Dialysis Center Open House

St. Bernards Medical Center will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the newly expanded St. Bernards Outpatient Dialysis Center in Wynne on Tuesday, Aug. 16.

Located at CrossRidge Community Hospital, 310 South Falls Blvd., the facility has doubled the number of dialysis stations previously available in Wynne. The expansion is making it possible to accommodate patients currently being seen there on a schedule that calls for it to operate three days a week initially, drawing patients from the southern part of the St. Bernards service area.

The expansion at the dialysis center has doubled the number of patients who can undergo dialysis there at any one time, with 12 stations now available. Hours of operation will be expanded as needed.

The Wynne dialysis site serves as a satellite center for St. Bernards primary Outpatient Dialysis Center in Jonesboro. The Jonesboro Center houses the largest and most comprehensive dialysis services program in the area, providing hemodialysis treatments for more than 100 patients. Home peritoneal dialysis services also are available.

Susan Roltsch serves as director of the St. Bernards dialysis program, and Jonesboro nephrologist Dr. Clinton Edwards is medical director.

St. Bernards is a 438-bed acute care medical center that serves as a referral center for 23 counties in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri. It has served as the trusted provider of comprehensive healthcare services since it was established in 1900.
