Sixty-nine employees – including three with more than 30 years of service – were honored at a recent quarterly employee recognition dinner at St. Bernards Medical Center. Honorees included those whose employment anniversary dates came in the third quarter of 2011 and whose length of service fell into five-year increments.
The honorees accounted for more than 800 years of service to St. Bernards, with two having been on staff for 35 years, one for 30 years, eight for 25 years, 11 for 20 years, four for 15 years, 14 for 10 years and 29 for five years.
Employees represent 15 towns and communities in nine different Arkansas counties. In Craighead County, 40 are from Jonesboro; two are from Bay; three are from Bono; two are from Brookland; and three are from Lake City.
Eight employees are from Paragould; two are from Walnut Ridge; and two are from Leachville. Seven other towns are represented by one employee each – Blytheville, Cherokee Village, DeValls Bluff, Maynard, Powhatan, Searcy and Waldenburg.
Those who have been on staff for 35 years are Carolyn McGhee of Jonesboro who works in the St. Bernards transitional care facility and Rebecca Reinhart from Paragould who works on 5 East. Judy Martin of Bono has been on staff 30 years. She works in home health.
Twenty-five year employees include four from Jonesboro – Terri Adams who works in admitting, Mildred Lamberth who works in home health, Gerald Patterson who works in receiving and Edna Persifull who works in the cardiac catheterization lab. Others are Julia Brown of Lake City who works in one day surgery, Gloria Crews of Leachville who works in surgery, Susan Loyd of Brookland who works in the physician dining room, and Tonya Phillips of Powhatan who works in home health.
Twenty-year employees include seven from Jonesboro – Billy Goodman who works in engineering, Patsy Hollingshead who works in the GI Lab, Karen Kelley who works on 2 East, Carla Long who works in radiation oncology, Debbie McQuay who works in the laundry, Bonnie Smallwood who works in cardiovascular surgery and Laberta Stout who works in the post anesthesia care unit. Others are Beth Gebhart of Waldenburg who works at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House, Cynthia Matheny of Paragould who works in nursing administration and two Lake City residents – Angelia McCall who works in pre-admission testing and Angela Wiman who works in Total Life Healthcare administration.
Fifteen-year employees include three from Jonesboro – Paula Sharp who works in the infusion center, Larry Timmerman who works in accounting information systems and Belinda Winford who works in surgery. Deborah Ladd of Leachville works in home health.
Ten-year employees include eleven from Jonesboro – Shelley Bettis who works in nuclear medicine, Katherine Boling who works in computed tomography scanning, Mikcca Craft who works in nuclear medicine, Luis Flores who works in pharmacy administration, St. Bernards administrator Michael Givens, Maxin Heller who works at the Senior Life Center, Lynn Howerton who works in dialysis, Ashley Hufstedler who works in nursing administration, Beth Murff who works in nursing administration, Terry Needham who works in the infusion center and Ann Ware who works in inscription. Others are Amanda King of Walnut Ridge who works in coding, Pam Lee of Searcy who works at the Outpatient Imaging Center and John Wyatt of Paragould who works in pharmacy.
Five-year employees include 14 from Jonesboro – Aubrey Antilley who works in information systems, Tylisha Barnes who works on 1 East, William Biggs who serves as a network technician in radiology, Maria Chicas who works in environmental services, Lauren Covington who works on 2 North, Lana Fairchild who works in accounting, Mary Folsom who works in behavioral health, Jennifer Greene who works in pharmacy, Beverly Harralson who works in medical records, Angie Holifield who works on 4 East, Sonia McCain who works in the laundry, Hanna Mullen who works in respiratory care, Glenn Schilly who works in sterile processing and Karen Stewart who works in behavioral health.
Other five-year employees include five Paragould residents – Sylvia Blount who works in accounting, Tamara Cox who works in one day surgery, Brandy Eaton who works in senior health services, Karan Summitt who works at the Center for Weight Loss and Tamara Wagner who works in the intensive care unit. Bay residents with five years tenure are Gaylene Timmons who works at the weight loss surgery clinic and Sondra Vestal who works in coding. Bono residents who have been at St. Bernards for five years are Roberta Dement who works in behavioral health and Gail Sharp who works in respiratory care. Still other five-year employees include Katrina Dees of Brookland who works in transcription, Rebecca Gore of Cherokee Village who works in the reference lab, Kymberly James of Blytheville who works on 1 Main, Brittany Richey of Walnut Ridge who works in radiology, Judy Stone of Maynard who works at DayPlace and Autumn Walker of DeValls Bluff who works in coding.
Honorees received crystal desk awards in recognition of their service.
