Recently St. Bernards Medical Center moved equipment that was housed in the former employee fitness center to Jonesboro High School, donating it to the school’s athletic department.
It has been used to set up a new weight room at Hurricane Gym, making all the “new” equipment available for use by JHS athletes and physical education students. Included are two treadmills, two complete dumb bell sets and ten pieces of stack weight machines. The value on the equipment if it were new is approximately $25,000.
The equipment was retired after the opening of the new St. Bernards Health & Wellness Institute.
