Fifty-five employees – including one with 40 years of service – were honored at a recent quarterly employee recognition dinner at St. Bernards Medical Center. Honorees included those whose employment anniversary dates came in the first quarter of 2012 and whose length of service fell into five-year increments.
The honorees accounted for more than 600 years of service to St. Bernards, with one having been on staff for 40 years, one for 30 years, six for 25 years, seven for 20 years, four for 15 years, 16 for 10 years and 20 for five years.
Employees represent 12 towns and communities in six different Arkansas counties. In Craighead County, 32 are from Jonesboro; one is from Bay; four are from Bono; three are from Brookland; and one is from Lake City.
Seven employees are from Greene County, two from Lawrence, two from Poinsett, two from Randolph and one from White.
Bonnie Ellison from Jonesboro has the longest tenure – 40 years. She works in the business office. Thomas Brown of Jonesboro, who works in the gasteroenterology lab, has been on staff 30 years.
Four of the 25-year employees are from Jonesboro and include Suzanne Herndon, behavioral health; Tracy McDaniel, laboratory; Hal Savage, radiology; and Sharon Eubanks, lab. The other two are from Paragould – Barbara Damon, transcription, and Mary Christmas, infusion center.
Twenty-year employees are Tammie Flowers, Trumann, business office; Dianna Porchet, Jonesboro, surgery; Tracie Hudson, Paragould, home health; Carla Smith, Jonesboro, senior health services; Jeff Woods, Bay, engineering; Wanda Hastings, Jonesboro, cardiac catheterization lab; and Charlie Holman, Paragould, respiratory care.
Fifteen-year employees are Robert Roberts, Jonesboro, surgery; Cindy May, Jonesboro, 5 East; Theresa Espy, Brookland, cath lab; and Dianna Tribble, Bono, respiratory care.
