Dr. Veryl Hodges, an internal medicine specialist at Clopton
Clinic who is on the medical staff at St. Bernards, has been appointed to the
Arkansas State Medical Board
He earned his D.O. degree from Kirksville College of
Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo., and served both an internship and a
residency in internal medicine at Tulsa Regional Medical Center, Oklahoma State
University in Tulsa. He is board certified in internal medicine by the American
Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
The physician holds fellow status in the American College of
Osteopathic Internists.
He has been with Clopton Clinic and on the medical staff at
St. Bernards Medical Center since 2002. Prior to that he was in private
practice in Pueblo, Colo., and worked in emergency medicine at Craig General
Hospital in Vinita, Okla.
The holder of a bachelor’s degree from Olivet Nazarene
University in Kankakee, Ill., Hodges also earned master’s degree from Nazarene
Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo., in divinity.
His professional memberships include the Arkansas
Osteopathic Medical Association, the American College of Osteopathic Internists
and the American Osteopathic Association. He has served as a trustee for AOMA
for a number of years and currently is serving as president of that
organization.
Hodges has two sons and a daughter-in-law, Christopher and
Denny and his wife, Nikki.
He serves on the church board at Forest Home Church of the
Nazarene.
Hodges is a member of Healthcare Medical Group (HMG) and St.
Bernards Healthcare Associated Regional Providers (SHARP).
