
Eighty employees – including two with 35 years of service – were honored at a recent quarterly employee recognition dinner at St. Bernards Medical Center. Honorees included those whose employment anniversary dates came in the second quarter of 2010 and whose length of service fell into five-year increments.
The honorees accounted for more than 1,000 years of service to St. Bernards, with two having been on staff for 35 years, five for 30 years, seven for 25 years, four for 20 years, 14 for 15 years, 20 for 10 years and 28 for five years.
Employees represent 14 towns and communities in six different Arkansas counties. Forty-four are from Jonesboro; 10 are from Bono; 10 are from Paragould; three are from Harrisburg; three are from Trumann; and two are from Walnut Ridge. Communities represented by one employee each are Bay, Blytheville, Brookland, Lepanto, Manila, Marmaduke, Powhatan and Wynne.
Those on staff for 35 years are Freddie Kious who works in the engineering department and Carol Pipes who works in St. Bernards hospice. Both are from Bono.
Thirty-year employees include Brenda Clark of Jonesboro who works in the laundry; Debra Boyles of Jonesboro, hospice; Donna Watts of Bono, environmental services; Iva Lammers of Jonesboro, one day surgery; and Patricia Carlisle of Jonesboro, home health.
Twenty-five year employees include Margo Farris of Jonesboro who works in surgery; Rita Fires of Jonesboro, radiology; Patsy Oswald of Jonesboro, dialysis; Kelli Rhodes of Jonesboro, 1 Main; Robert Kendall of Jonesboro, surgery; Linda Story of the Jonesboro, surgical intensive care unit; and Mary Woods who of Jonesboro, cardiac catheterization laboratory.
Twenty-year employees include Daina Hinton of Lepanto who works in the post anesthesia care unit; Leslie Wood of Jonesboro, sterile processing; Lisa Tidwell of Bono, nutrition services; and Sandra McQuay of Trumann, information services.
