St. Bernards Hospice hosted its annual “Moments of Remembrance” program on Dec. 9. The event offers families who have lost loved ones an opportunity to bring a Christmas ornament in memory their loved one and place the ornament on a special remembrance tree.
Because the holiday season can be a difficult time for families who have lost loved ones during the year, this program gives them a way to share memories and celebrate the lives of ttheir. And that helps surviving family members begin to restore the joy of life.
In addition to hanging a special ornament, family members light a candle in memory of their loved on.
Ornaments are displayed on trees at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House at St. Bernards during the holiday season.
St. Bernards Hospice, established in 1989, provides holistic care of patients with life-limiting illnesses.
